Under the primary education department of Pune Zilla Parishad, boys and girls from 1st to 7th grade are given education through Zilla Parishad primary schools. At the district level, the education officer (primary) is the head of the department and at the taluka level, the group education officer is the head of the taluka department.

To provide quality education to the students of 1st to 7th standard, various schemes sponsored by the central government and sponsored by the state government are implemented through the Zilla Parishad Pune through the primary education department of Zilla Parishad.
